Officers responded around 11 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting and found Mutua suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

A good Samaritan, first responders, and medics all attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

Following an autopsy, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore ruled Mutua’s death a homicide.
